Nothing Gold Can Stay

'When all those that know us are gone, do we become forgotten? Against the passage of time, nothing is permanent -- and each lifetime, though precious as gold, is also fleeting as an hour...'

~This is my interpretation of the Robert Frost poem below:

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
